Obituary
Theresa Kay Vann, 65, died peacefully on Saturday afternoon, February 10, 2018, at her home in Oviedo, FL.
Born in Elizabeth City, NC, on January 13th, 1953, to Norman and Margie Krebs who surpassed her in death.
She was married to the love of her life, James Vann on June 29, 1974. They built a life in Englewood, FL where they grew their family from two to five.
Her husband surpassed her in death in 1991, and she never remarried.
She is survived by her three children; Kelly (Ben) of Oviedo, FL, Jonathan (Danielle) of Raleigh NC, Christopher (Cynthia) of Orlando, FL; and her eight grandchildren; Alexis, Levi, Micah, Cooper, Kai, Lyla, River and Grayson.
Theresa will be remembered for her gracious and giving heart, her beautiful smile, adventurous spirit, amazing cooking, boisterous laugh, her love of coffee and a good book; but most of all, her love for her family and friends. Anyone who was lucky enough to have met her would call her a friend, as she was loved by all! Theresa had never met a stranger, to her they were just friends she had not met yet! She filled our hearts with smiles and love, and our bellies with delicious food! The woman was a culinary genius!
During her last year, she was able to retire and move to be closer to her children. Her days were filled with love and snuggles from her grandchildren. Theresa loved her three children with all her heart and considered them her proudest achievement. But her kids would argue that her grandbabies were the true loves of her life!
A service celebrating the life of Theresa will be held on Saturday, February 17th, 2018 at the Swayze Art Studio; located at 2373 Donovan Road, Englewood, FL 34223 at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested to keep her memories alive by sharing them with one another and to keep smiling.
Condolences may be directed to Kelly Thorpe (260 Sawyerwood Place, Oviedo, FL 32765), Paul Vann (3239 Sunbright Lane, Raliegh, NC 27610), Christopher (your address)
