My sincere condolences to all the members of Erik's family - I know how much he was so proud of each of you and loved you dearly.

I have know Erik for 50 years. Even though we were separated by geography for most of those years, we have always be attached at the heart. We have always stayed in touch via e-mail (a wide mixture of humour, rudeness, politics and human causes).

I have never known a person with a bigger heart than Erik and he proudly wore it on his sleeve - never to be challenged. He was full of life and energy - that is who I will always remember - we had so, so many great laughs together.

I already miss him, but he will never leave my heart. I'll be watching for signals from above.

    Ernie Coulson
