HALL, MARY ANN
Mary Ann Hall, 74 passed away on June 26, 2018 at Legacy House Hospice. She was predeceased by her husband of 31 yrs. Olmond (Al) M. Hall. MaryAnn was born on December 10, 1943 in Chicago, but grew up North Miami. She worked for many years for S. P. Richards, an office supply company. While in Miami, together the Hall’s owned and operated a successful printing business. In 1992 they sold the business, retired and moved to central Florida. They immediately became involved in their community by developing and publishing the community newsletter. MaryAnn was a very fun and creative person and her creativity flourished with her participation in clubhouse stage productions, subsequently encouraging Al to join her as a member of the lip sync group “The Impostors” as they entertained around the area. They spent many years together enjoying their community’s activities and made many friends.
Mary Ann put her excellent organization skills to good use when she worked tirelessly as a fund raiser for Hospice of Marion County and later for them as a volunteer. Together with friends she collected and distributed food for Interfaith Emergency Services and assisted other charities. MaryAnn was a giving person and loyal friend to her neighbors, often assisting many of them with transportation and running errands. She remained actively involved with the community newsletter, enjoyed going to the symphony, and local theater productions, traveling with her friends and participating in various community clubs and groups. She led a very full and active life and was always there for her dear friends, of which she had many.
Mary Ann is survived by her step-daughter, Sherry Meyer/David, Chattanooga, TN; step son Olmond (Larry) /Thea Hall, Millbrook, Al; grandsons Ryan Meyer/ Najla, St Augustine, Fl., Olmond A.(Tony) Hall/Jennifer, Boca Raton, FL and 4 great grandchildren, Mason, Landon, Emma and Trevor.
