Obituary
Linda Mueller-Cordero nee Katenski died peacefully at Halifax Health Hospice in Edgewater Florida on June 20th 2018 at the age of 70 after a brief struggle with colon cancer. Linda is survived by her son Kyle and (Jill) Mueller of Smithtown NY and daughter Kirsten and (Joseph) Honahan of Ormand Beach FL, her grandchildren Patrick Honahan of Denver Colorado, Tyler Honahan of Charleston SC, Ava Mueller and Hugo Mutz of Smithtown NY and her sister Joyce Lange (nee Katenski) of Sea Isle City NJ. She is preceded in death by her parents Sarah and Fred Katenski.
Linda was born on August 14th, 1947 in Philadelphia PA to Sarah and Fred Katenski, she graduated from Dobbins Technical High School in Philadelphia in 1965. She worked as an Executive at North Shore Hematology Oncology for nearly 30 years before retiring in 2004. Special thanks to Renee Monroe, Jean Morse, Madeline Drellos and all of Linda’s incredible friends at Spruce Creek in Port Orange who helped her during her battle with cancer. Also, the incredible staff at Halifax Health Hospice in Edgewater FL who were so kind, caring and loving to Linda at the end, we will always carry your memory in our hearts. Linda was incredibly healthy and lived an organic and holistic lifestyle for nearly 40 years yet was never screened. Colorectal Cancer is the second deadliest cancer in the US- but with early detection, it’s also one of the most preventable.
