Obituary
SMSGT Raymond Davis Kane, 83, of Lakeland, Florida passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018. He was born in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Elsie and Charles Kane.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and Air Force. In 1997 he retired from the Air Force. He was the recipient of many metals and awards including The Air Force Achievement Medal with 1 Device, Air Force Commendation Metal, Air Force Training Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award with 3 Devices, National Defense Service Metal with 1 Device, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon/Rifle, Army Good Conduct Metal, Air Reserve Meritorious Service Metal with 5 Devices and The Armed Forces Reserve Metal.
Survivors include wife of 40 years Nancy J. Kane; daughters Julie Dinwiddie (Bobby) and Jeri Harris (Ricky); son Jeffery Kane (Marie Kane-Seitz); sister Sarah Brady (Randy); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren
He is preceded in death by his parents Elsie and Charles Kane; brothers William Kane and James Kane.
A committal service with military honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell at a later date.
