Obituary
Edward Tyler Gromatski, born on March 22, 1938 in Greenfield, Mass, walked with the Lord to his final resting place at age 80 on January 5, 2019 in Ocala, FL. Ed graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1955. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy on the USS M.R. Nawman (DE-416). Ed became a born again believer in Jesus Christ and was an active member of The Gideons International since 1987 and ministered to prisoners. He was actively involved at Oxford Assembly of God. Ed was an avid and expert fisherman, master cabinet-maker/carpenter, and he exemplified what a true gentlemen is like… He was a gentle man. He was a citizen of Abenaki Nation of Missisquoi, north east Indian tribe that extended into Canada.He was predeceased by his mother, Arline Gromatski, and his father, Edward H. Gromatski. Ed is survived by his son, Michael E. Gromatski of Indialantic, FL, and son, Joseph Tyler and wife Mala of Pembroke, NH, by their mother Sandra A. Viner of Pittsfield, MA. He is also survived by his daughter, Bonnie Reynolds and husband Tim of Brandon, FL, and his son, Edward L. Gromatski and wife Kim of Houston, TX, by their mother Joan M. Hunt. Ed is survived by his sister, Arline (Peachy) Jacquot of St. Petersburg, FL, and his sister, Carol Nepton of Manchester, NH. Ed is survived by his grandchildren, Morgan(16) and Beck(13) by Joe; Philip(24), Nicolas(21), Alex(14) by Bonnie; and Carter(23) by Eddie. Ed is also survived by nephews Stephen Jacquot, Christopher Jacquot, Robert Mottor, Ted Mottor; and Aunt, Catherine Golash. The family invites donations in Edward’s name to The Gideons International. Friends and family are welcome to attend the memorial service, officiated by Pastor Derrel Strickland, on Friday, January 11 from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. at Oxford Assembly of God, 12214 US-301, Oxford, Florida, 34484.
