Was so very sorry to hear of Walt's passing. My husband Mike spent many times at Breakers sitting next to Walt in Walt's special reserved seat discussing politics, The New England Patriots, NSB Jazz Festival and other things. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

I wanted to be the first person to write on here! Popi, you were a very special person in my life! We shared the same birthday week, you were always the first person to wish me a happy birthday each year (the day before) which always put a smile on my face since that was our thing we did for each other. You weren’t much of a talker over the phone haha but I always loved our short chats! I remember every time we were together like it was yesterday. The time my mom and I visited you and I got to go in the shrimp boat and help is a memory I have never forgotten. That was also the time you gave me your stuffed animals that you had growing up and the blue Afghan blanket that was made by great-grandma Kuhrt. This was also, the year that I got to go to Disney World and Seaworld for the first time and meet Cindy :) I remember the year you came up and spent Christmas with my mom and I and you thought me how to use resistant bands, since you had to stay fit while out of town haha and I wanted to join in. You had long hair that time and wore a small ponytail haha you were such a hip grandpa. And ever since my mom pasted I tried to keep up the tradition and mailing you chocolate covered cherries since I know they were your favorite! I will miss seeing you in all your bright vibrant Florida shirts! You were the only man who could pull that off in my option! There are so many more memories that I will hold dear to my heart! I’m so blessed God let me talk to you one last time and that I got to tell you how much I “love you!” You were a very special man and you will be missed deeply and never forgotten! Rest easy, Popi! I love you with all my heart!

P.S. my girls will always cherish their blankets you had made for them! I still can’t get over how sweet that was! I am so great full you did that for them!
