Obituary
Kathleen Butz, 78, died of cancer on February 15, 2021 in Ocala, Florida.
She is survived by her three children James Misciagna and daughter-in-law, Donna Misciagna, of Tuscon, AZ; Laurie Roome and son-in-law, Michael Roome, of Roxbury, NJ; and Michael Misciagna and daughter-in-law, Jo-El Misciagna of Bridgewater, NJ. She was predeceased by her son Stephen Misciagna of Boston, MA and is survived by her daughter-in-law, Susan Weiler. She has 6 grandchildren: Aaron Rowe, Zachary Rowe and Noelle Rowe; William Misciagna; and Alexander and Izabella Misiciagna. She is also survived by her sister, Elaine Durkin and her husband Ron Durkin of Jupiter, FL.
Kathleen was born on February 1, 1943 in Elizabeth, NJ, to parents Victor and Marion Townley. She graduated high school from Mount Saint John Academy in Peapack- Gladstone, NJ. She was an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) volunteering in Peapack- Gladstone, NJ and then professionally in Nazareth PA for more than 30 years. She lived in Nazareth for nearly 40 years and has long-time friends who she remained in contact.
Kathleen moved to Smith Lake Shores Village in Belleview, Florida in 2015, where she enjoyed the beautiful Florida weather and had many friends, who were great and loving support for her, especially in the end.
Kathleen loved her birds and many other animals throughout her life. She was an avid gardener who kept a beautiful garden all around her home. She loved music and going to the Orange Blossom Opry with her friends and enjoyed playing piano and singing.
No memorial service is planned at this time. In lieu of flowers and donations please give your prayers to accept Jesus, our Lord and Savior and continue to love one another, as we never know when today may be the last day.
