Obituary
Earl (Speedy) Beatty, Jr. of Arcadia, Florida, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on
October 22, 2021.
He was born to parents Earl and Flossie Beatty on February 8, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois. Earl enlisted in the United States Army in 1974 where he served for three years. He worked in the telephone industry throughout his life – beginning with contractors and then he was hired by the United Telephone Company where he worked for the 30 years.
He is survived by Jessica Ann Beatty (daughter), Anastasia Jean Beatty (granddaughter),Rosalynn Grant (niece) , Michael Stewart(nephew) and nephews Robert and William Seeley.
Earl enjoyed spending time with his family, but he truly came alive when he was riding his motorcycle. He belonged to ABATE and Road Riders for Jesus. He was very active until recently in his church Freedom Bible Church, where he served weekly.
Services for the celebration of his life will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 11234 Royal Road, Punta Gorda, FL at 10:00 Tuesday, October 26, 2021. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238 or at tidewellfoundation.org.
