Obituary
Nancy Jean Petersen Oberle passed away on October 25th, 2021 at the age of 72. She woke up happy & joyous that morning suffered a stroke mid-day. She’s preceded in death by her husband Thomas Oberle. Her parents Arnold & Gertrude Petersen, New York. She is survived by her sister Lisa (Mark) Harry, niece Lizzie, nephew Luke Harry (Amber Corbin) Great nephew Ike, of Oklahoma. 2 Sister-in-law’s Marilyn & Mary Anne of NY, 2 Stepdaughters, many nieces & nephews, lifelong friends, partner Angelo Wong & beloved doodle Jefferson.
Nancy was born in Staten Island New York July 9th 1949. Worked for the State of NY as a benefits investigator. Tom (late husband) and Nancy married and resided in Long Island. Nancy loved living by the water & the active hustle bustle of New York. Nancy and Tom moved to the villages in 2005 & started their retired life here. Nancy was active in many things including mahjong, choir, division 4 softball and her church. She loved to host parties & always had an open heart to those that attend. One of her nicknames was Sassy as she always stood up for what was right & for the underdogs of the world. She was a caring & generous creative individual who will be greatly missed.
Celebration of life will be November 12, 2021 at 11:45 at New Covenant United Methodist 3470 Woodridge Dr., The Villages, FL 32162.
