John Herbert Olson
10/4/42 – 11/12/21
John was born in St. Paul, MN to Herbert O. and Anne M. Olson. He was a graduate of Johnson High School, Macalester College, and Univ. of North Dakota. He taught science in Roseville (MN) Area Schools for 25 years, was the founder and director of Cryogenic Laboratories, Inc. until his retirement in 2002.
He was admired for his athletic prowess in hockey and baseball in his younger days and later as a runner and in-line skater.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Anne Olson, sister and brother-in-law Sally and Loren Johnson, and daughter-in-law Kathryn Hoglund. He is survived by his wife, Lois, children Kristin Olson, Erik (Samantha) Olson, bonus children Heather (Doug) Elliott, and Jonathan Hoglund, grandchildren Lucienne, Cassidy, Calvin, Hunter, Lucas, Meg, Grant, Em, Lily, and Tess, and 2 great-grandchildren as well as many loved extended family and friends.
He touched many lives, both known and unknown to him. He will be tremendously missed, but he is now safe in the arms of Jesus.
