Obituary
Born to the late Philip and Margaret (Henning) Haller (Chicago) on April 19, 1937. Ray joined the Army in 1956 being discharged in 1958 spending part of that deployment in Germany.
He was a system analyst for Commonwealth Edison while living in Chicago and attended 12 years of night school obtaining his bachelor’s degree from DePaul University. Ray and Gerry then relocated to Vermont in 1973 where they opened their own printing business. Ray then joined the Lions Club International becoming a member of the Rutland, Vermont Lions Club where he served as their District Governor from 1983-1984.
In 1991, he relocated again, this time to Florida and joined the Orange Blossom Gardens Lions Club in Lady Lake where he served as President for two consecutive years.
In addition, Ray became a cast member of Walt Disney World. He then became an associate for the Lake Harris Publix in Leesburg where he worked for 14 years and is missed by so many, both fellow associates and customers.
He leaves behind his loving wife (62 years) Gertrude (Gerry). With their anniversary being on the 4th of July he was teased about losing his dependence on Independence Day. Also, a nephew Bryan Dudones (Susan), a niece Sue Mladic (Don) and a sister-in-law Sharon Dudones (Bill) and all who knew this very kind and caring man. Preceded in death by brothers Richard (infancy) and Robert.

A church service will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 11 AM, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Leesburg. A lite luncheon to follow. Interment will be at the National Cemetery in Bushnell at a later date.
