Obituary
Mary was born in Big Rapids, Michigan to Dorothy Young-Streeter and Donald Streeter on August 19, 1945. Mary attended Bentley High School and Schoolcraft College in Michigan. Mary married Charles O’Donnell on November 12, 1966 and gave birth to their only child, Michael Denis in 1970.
A wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she was active in volunteering at Capuchin Kitchen in Detroit, the Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center in Augusta, Borgess Hospital Service League, Kalamazoo, Gull Lake Jaycee Auxiliary (President), St. Ann Church Choir, Augusta, MI, Center for Hope, Venice and Blessings gift shop, Venice.
An active sports person, Mary was an award winning equestrian and Red Cross Certified life guard.
When their first grandchild was born back in Michigan, Mary returned from Florida to help take care of her grand babies Grace and Meredith. The two girls became the light of her life.
Everyone who met Mary remarked on her beautiful smile and loving nature.
Mary leaves husband of 56 years Charlie, son Michael (Teresa), granddaughters Grace and Meredith, sisters Nancy (Dick) Thompson and Pat (Dick) Hartwig, sister in law Peggy Bowes, sister like Carol (Jim) Bemister and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family is especially grateful to the Tidewell Hospice staff of Josey, Amy and Kim. Special thanks also to Mary’s care givers Andre and Cindy.
The family feels blessed to have so many wonderful, supportive neighbors and friends during this five year journey.
