Raised in Fishtown, went to Immaculate Conception and graduated from Bishop Neumann Business School at St. Peter’s the Apostle, Pat met the love of her life Jimmy of 60 years at the age of 13 in the neighborhood movie theatre when her best friend Dee “snitched” her out… the love story began she married at 17, had Jimmy at 18 and Michelle at 22 set-up roots in Fishtown, Northeast Philly, Smyrna, DE Jersey Shore Campgrounds and especially loved snowbirding in Daytona, FL.
Pat started working at 15 in the neighborhood Industrial Valley Bank, later moved to Basile Road in the Northeast, where her infamous Ladies Card Club was born. In 1983 started working at Local 286 Paperworkers Union as a Pension/Health and Welfare Clerk where she called home for the next 40 yrs, she also managed to work double duty at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Nutrition/Dietetics for 30 yrs. so she could abundantly give to all those she loved.
Pat had incredible patience, always made time to help others and committed herself to living a life full of precious memories w/her family. She was a selfless woman whose passing left an unfillable gap in the hearts of her loved ones. Her ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive and love will be forever engrained in all she knew. Her legacy will carry on forever reminding us that we control our attitudes if we choose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, like Christ modeled for us.
As a woman of faith, Pat reclaimed Jesus as her Lord and Savior while professing her love of God as the King of all Kings in March of 2020. She would love to be remembered with funny stories that celebrate what was good and blessed in her life. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of her Life held at St. Peter’s the Apostle Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023, Visitation from 9:30 10:30, Funeral Mass 10:30 -11:30am. Pat was a dear friend and 2nd mother to me while in Florida as well as keeping in touch throughout the years by text and phone calls. I miss her dearly! Her smile and upbeat personality was infectious and I looked forward to our poolside chats. My heartfelt prayers and daily thoughts go out to Jim and all of Pat's family during this difficult time.
