Obituary
Wilma “Willy” Alberta Anderson McClain, 65, of Inverness, Florida, passed away at home on May 17th, 2023, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Her sons and extended family were by her side.
Willy was born on September 12, 1957, to the late David “Dave” Anderson and Wilma Alberta (Harris) Anderson. Willy was a lifelong resident of Citrus County and graduated from Citrus High School in 1975. She was a homemaker and a school bus driver for the Citrus County Schools, but she spent much of her life as an entrepreneur. She understood business and was very successful with anything that caught her interest. She bought, renovated, rented, and sold many properties. She especially loved restoring historical homes. She started and managed several businesses, collected antiques, and owned and ran Griff’s Bar, which had been in her family for 50+ years. She also owned and ran Turner Camp/Shabby Chic Cabins. She had a natural talent for interior design.
In her spare time, Willy loved going to the beach. Manasota Key/Englewood was her favorite place, and she resided there 6 months out of the year for several years. She loved tending to her plants and orchids, crocheting, cooking delicious meals, and spending time with family and friends.
Those left to mourn Willy include her sons: Griffin McClain (Cali), Chase McClain (Whitney Torres), and Colby McClain; grandchildren: Madison McClain Homan, Cortlyn McClain, Saylor McClain, Jenna McClain, Westen McClain, and Landen McClain; Great-Grandson Holden Homan; 6 siblings: Davis Anderson, Carolyn Anderson Holmann, Donna Anderson Ketchel, Joni Anderson, Gregg Anderson, Dava Anderson, and Amanda Mullen; as well as many friends, nieces, and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society of Ocala, FL. Online condolences may be made on their website: BaldwinCremation.com. A celebration of Willy’s life will be held Saturday, June 10th at NOON at Turner Camp (3033 N. Hooty PT., Inverness, FL 34453).
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial donations to Hernando Pasco Hospice, 2939 W Gulf to Lake Hwy., Lecanto, FL 34461.

It's been a week since you left us, and every day feels incomplete without your presence. I miss you so much, more than words can express.
You were not just my mother; you were my biggest supporter. Your unconditional love and warmth made every day brighter. I find myself longing for your gentle words of wisdom, and the sound of your laughter that could light up a room.
Your love and influence shaped the person I am today, and I am forever grateful for the precious time we shared.
Though it hurts to know we can't physically be with you anymore, I take comfort in knowing that you are at peace. I will honor your memory by living my life to the fullest, carrying your love and values in my heart wherever I go.
I promise to keep your legacy alive by cherishing the family traditions, sharing stories of your kindness, and embracing the qualities that made you so extraordinary. Even though you're no longer here, your spirit will forever guide me through life's challenges and triumphs.
Mom, I want you to know that you are irreplaceable, and the love I have for you knows no bounds. I miss you more than words can express, but I will carry your love with me every step of the way.
Rest peacefully, dear Mom, until we meet again.
With all my love,
Colby
