Howard W. Walton SR. of North Ft. Myers, FL.
His beautiful daughter Darlene Thornley and husband Dan, his handsome sons, Howie Jr and wife Dawn, Kyle Walton and wife Nina survive him along with seven beautiful granddaughters.
Howie was preceded in death by his son Bobby in 1969 and his wife Sandra in 2011 after 47 years of marriage.
he was born in New Bedford, MA, August 6, 1944 to Ethel and George Walton. He attended the Barrington, R. I. school system from 1949 through 1960, graduating from the former Vocational Technical School of R. I. in June 1963.
Her served a cabinetmakers apprenticeship with the R. I. Carpenters Local Union 94 From 1964-1967 and remains a member to this day and was employed by Sun Industries of North Carolina as Plant Manager, he then moved with Sandra to Houston in the great state of Texas to be the Plant Superintendent at Architectural Woodworking Corp. He moved to Florida in 1998 and settled in at the Dekoron Unitherm Co. where he retired from in Dec. 2010 and returned part time in Sept. 2011 after Sandra’s passing
Cremation will take place at the family’s convenience, and his ashes will be placed in the family plot in Barrington, R. I. Everyone who remembers him is asked to celebrate Howie’s life in their own way.
Instead of flowers, Howie would hope that you would do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for some poor unfortunate soul in his name.
