Obituary

Alan John Corcoran went home to be with the Lord on May22 at the age of 78. He graduated from Hillsdale College in Michigan and followed a career in business from New Hampshire to South Dakota. A passion for sports led to organizing a junior high school cross country team and organizing and coaching an American Legion baseball team. Music also played a large part in his life. He was a member of McGregor Baptist Church and played the trombone in the church orchestra for 13 years. His wife, Eunice, survives as does 4 sons; Kevin and wife Cathy of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Douglas and wife Melanie of Naperville, Illinois; Darin and wife Gail of Dayton, Ohio; Kenneth and wife Leslie of Zionsville, Indiana. A brother Paul and wife Naomi of Adelaide, Australia and 11 grandchildren also survive. There will be a private family memorial service in Michigan at a later date.

Romans 10:9,10

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

John 10: 27, 28

27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.  28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.

We have known Alan for ten plus years at McGregor Baptist Church. He was a stalwart Christian and wasn't ashamed to say it. We enjoyed getting to know him and Eunice in our Choir/Orchestra Life Group. We will miss worshipping and fellowshipping with him. One day we will all be together again when we reach heaven. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

I will miss my friend every day. So sad.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family
