Obituary

Allen Howard Johnson was born to the late Clyde & Dorothea Johnson in Johnson City, New York, on February 25th, 1951. He was the eldest of ten children preceded by his parents, his sisters Sandra Coleman and Shirley Belles survived by his sisters Dorothea, Beverly, Darlene, Debra, and Diane and brothers James and Donald.

Allen was blessed with a loving family and was married to his long-time love, Debra Cooper Johnson for over forty years raising their family with love, faith, and humility residing in Ocala, Florida for the past 18 years after relocating from Pennsylvania. Allen went to be with the Lord on August 7th, 2022. He loved being on the water, boating, and fishing, had a strong kindness for animals, and an excellent talent for carpentry, driving tractor trailer, and fixing mechanical things and restoring cars with his hands. He was a kind man of few words but instilled significant lessons to his children such as checking their work twice and treating others how they would want to be treated and will be dearly missed by his loved ones.

Allen is survived by his beloved wife Debra, his daughters Amy Anthony and husband Chet Anthony, Jamie Johnson, and son Allen Howard Johnson, Jr., and wife Tanya Johnson with dear grandchildren Noah, Sage, Mataya, Breanna, Caleb, and baby Lillian Grace.

Allen is also survived by his loved daughters Connie and Christina Johnson, six wonderful grandchildren: Dakota, Hannah, Cody, Brooke, Ashley, and Bryce and two great-grandchildren: Brayden and Hunter.

May the Lord, Jesus Christ watch over Allen in His kingdom and bless him and all that knew and loved him.

Arrangements for Allen have been entrusted to the care of Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home & Cremation Society, Heritage Place Chapel, 954 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, Florida 34470. Online Condolences as well as fond memories may be left for the Johnson family at www.BaldwinCremation.com

    To Allen,

I want to thank you for the time we spent together. There is a special bond between a father and daughter and I did my best to recognize and respect it while you were here.. I know that we saw eye to eye and I promise to take great care of your daughter and our family in a way you would respect. I will always miss the way you laughed at my jokes. I wish I had more time with your counsel and experience. I will teach our kids your determination, creativity, and humility and make you proud. I know that we will meet again in heaven and you are comfortable there. I wish you the greatest of peace and comfort.

    Chet Anthony

Papa .. you were the strongest, funniest, most kind hearted best grandfather a little girl could ask for. I hope you knew how much we appreciate everything you have done for us, taught us, and built us. I remember you would come to school and eat lunch with me on the holiday lunches and special occasions so i had someone there, teaching me how to drive the boat, building the room i lay my head in and somuch more but not just that but just being there in general.. even when you werent in the best health you always tried , everytime you told a story i loved hearing them because i felt like i was getting to know a different part of you, your storied would definitely have us all laughing but always taught me something always taught me something. You have corrected me so many times but never ever lashed out on me or even raised your voice at me but made sure i knew about myself and right from wrong. i cant think of no bad with you, you were just the best i love you papa and i know you're up there watching over me , you're finally at peace which is gonna help us all. I have been on this earth for 18 years so far and you have been here since day 1 and even though you have left this earth i know you will forever be with me and watching over me just know you will forever be missed down here but you are in our hearts forever. Rest in Peace papa.

I'm so very saddened of the passing of Allen. I have only fond memories of having the pleasure of getting to know him through my friendship with Debbie. Allen had many talents: There was virtually nothing he could not repair, build or drive. He had a sentimental collection of random things that brought him joy and I admired his good taste in southwestern jewelry. Allen was soft spoken and had a fun sense of humor (usually aimed at his brothers) and would make you laugh when he'd chuckle at his own jokes. We both appreciated a decent cup of coffee (all day long), and a really good lasagna (Debbie's!) I think the important bits I will take away from having known Allen are: don't be afraid to start over, take care of what you have, aspire to do and reach for something bigger and better for yourself; and for gosh sakes, remember to check the oil in your vehicle! My deepest and sincere condolences go to out to Allen's family, his wife, children and grandchildren, siblings and extended family whom he loved all so very dearly. Thanks for the memories, Al! Until we meet again, keep a cup of coffee warm up there for me...

To my darling father, I will miss you always but more importantly you will always be in my heart. I love you more than words can say and can’t tell you how much I already miss you. I know God will take care of you in His Kingdom and you will forever be an example of a wonderful father and someone I will cherish always. I will take care of Mom and promise to be the best version of myself to make you and God proud. I love you dearly. Please Rest In Peace.

Debbie, I just hate this so much for you and the kids, he always cracked me up when he’d laugh at all the weird things I pulled on you when we worked together. I’m praying for comfort and peace for all of you.

Dear Deb, Amy, Jamie , AJ and family. Know that we are heartbroken over the passing of Allen. He was a quite man but never had a bad word to say to anyone. We will never forget when we went to Silver Springs and Allen and I were looking for some place to get cool and Skip and Deb were going strong in the heat that was 116 degrees. Know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May he Rest in Peace. We are here for all of you . Love you all and God Bless you during this time❤️❤️
