Obituary

Ann Elizabeth Brumbaugh Quackenbush died peacefully at the age of 86 in the home she shared with her daughter Linda Hamilton in Daytona Beach Margaritaville. She is survived by her sister Sue Long (Bob Long) of The Villages and daughters Sue Kirkland (Tybee Island, GA), Linda Hamilton (Daytona Beach, FL) and Karen Conner (Savannah, GA); Grandchildren: Alanna Greene (Woodstock, GA), Patrick Hamilton (Daytona Beach, FL), Maddie Holmes (Savannah, GA), Will Robinson (Savannah, GA), Erin Hamilton (Daytona Beach, FL), and Allie Robinson (Savannah, GA).
Ann was born in Dayton, Ohio and graduated from Centenary College (now Centenary University) in New Jersey where she met her first husband of 25 years. She later married Brad Quackenbush and enjoyed life in Columbus, Ohio close to her parents and sister. She lived most of her later years in Georgia and Florida after moving to The Villages following her brother Tody and sister Sue. At The Villages, she enjoyed playing cards with her friends, gardening in her yard and spending time with her dog Duke.
Ann’s final year was blessed by the move into her new home with Linda in Daytona Beach Margaritaville. As her sight declined, her love of music and talking with her family, friends and grandchildren became essential to the happiness and joy in her life. Ann will be remembered with a Celebration of Life on January 21st at noon at Baldwin Brothers, 1 N Causeway, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169.
Flowers or charitable gifts may be given to Baldwin Brothers, American Red Cross, Halifax Hospice or the Halifax Humane Society.
