Obituary
Anne Margaret Willebrandt, 91, of Matlacha FL and previously Fredonia and Silver Creek, NY, passed March 18, 2024.
Anne was born on April 4, 1932, in Buffalo NY to the late Harold J. and Margaret Sullivan Haugh.
Anne graduated with the class of 1950 from Nardin Academy in Buffalo NY and attended Canisius College also in Buffalo. Anne was employed as a telephone operator in Buffalo and as a sales associate at Sidey’s in Dunkirk.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, sister Margaret (Peggy) and brother-in-law Vincent P. Collins, brother Richard L. Haugh and grandson Jesse A. Willebrandt.
Anne is survived by her loving and adoring husband of almost 71 years, Norman C. Willebrandt, whom she married in Buffalo NY on June 27, 1953. The theme of their marriage was “Happy wife, happy life!”
Anne is survived by six children: Joanne Willebrandt Buck, Norma Willebrandt Bienko (Don Bennice), Dennis (Carol) Willebrandt, Thomas (Shannon) Willebrandt, David (Jena) Willebrandt and Janice Willebrandt (Thomas) Kolassa.
Anne’s family includes 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 8 nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Columban’s, Silver Creek, NY. A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Hope Hospice of Cape Coral FL, and Anne’s special caregivers there.
