Anneliese Ludwig Hyde, age 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday night, March 11,
2012 surrounded by family and friends at Fairgreen Assisted Living Facility, New
Smyrna Beach, FL, where she was a resident. She was born on May 2, 1920 in Marburg,
Germany to Burogehilfe Martin Ludwig and Bertha Sennet Ludwig.
Anneliese worked as a cashier on the U.S. Army Base in Stuttgart, Germany in 1953,
where she met Claude Wilson Hyde, who was a Chief Clerk in the Hq, ih U.S. Army.
Claude and Anneliese were married on May 7, 1955 in Boeblingen, Germany and then
they were transferred to Fort Lewis Washington in October, 1955. Due to Claude's work
in Supply and assignment with the Pershing Missile Battalion, they were transferred often
and subsequently were stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky, Redstone Arsenal/Huntsville,
Alabama, Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, Schwabisch Gmund, Germany and Pittsburg, Kansas.
Claude retired from the military in 1969 and they decided to move to Orlando, Florida as
they both loved the warm weather, ocean and the beach. Anneliese was a full time
homemaker and active in supporting school activities. She enjoyed going to the health
spa, spending time with her family and friends and going to New Smyrna Beach on the
weekends with Claude. She moved from Altamonte Springs to New Smyrna Beach in
2004 to be close to her daughter and son-in-law and lived on her own until May 2, 2011
when she decided to move to Fairgreen. She loved her Saturday breakfast at Mom's,
Sunday lunch at the Outback (champagne of course!) and the staff at Fairgreen. She is
survived by her daughter, Patty Hyde Raudenbush and son-in-law, Rex Raudenbush
(New Smyrna Beach, FL), grand-daughter, Jamie Raudenbush and great grandson RJ
(Lakeland, FL). She was predeceased by Claude in January, 2003.

This is the poem that we chose for my Grandma memorial card and I thought I would share:
She is Gone
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind
Be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want:
Smile, open your eyes, love and go on
Rest In Peace Anne
I know you will be missing Ann in the days to come but be proud of the wonderful, beautiful way you took care of her. Know she is at Peace now and will forever live in your memories. Love you both. Vicki
A ship sails to the morning breeze and starts for the ocean.
She is an object of beauty and I stand watching her till at last she fades on the horizon, and someone at my side says, "she is gone."
Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all: she is just as large in the masts, hull and spars as she was when I saw her, and just as able to bear her load of living freight to its destination.
The diminished size and total loss of sight is in me, not her: and just at the moment when someone at my side says, "she is gone," there are others who are watching her coming, and other voices take up a glad shout, "there she comes"
I loved the time I had with you and my life is so much better having known you and shared big hugs.
Thanks for giving me Patty, she too is very special!!!!
See you on the other side----Luv Ya xoxoxxo
