Obituary
Audrey Rose (Murray) (Wellman) Oliver departed this life in the morning hours of December 9, 2022 surrounded by family at Halifax Hospice Center in Orange City, FL. Audrey was born in Watertown, NY on July 20, 1949 and spent her adult life in Oneonta, NY. Audrey spent her life caring for others whether it was in her career or for her family. Upon retiring she traveled and then settled in Volusia County Florida where she found peace and happiness being near the Ocean and later finding love and having her closest family nearby.
Audrey was predeceased by her husband Raymond Oliver of Oneonta, NY and her love John King of Edgewater, FL. She is survived by her children Wendy Allen (William) of Deland, FL, Rodney Wellman of Cooperstown, NY, Walter Oliver and Gary Oliver (Jill) of Morris, NY. A grandmother to nine, Nicole Barker of Otego, NY, William Charles Allen of DeLand, FL, Kathy Allen of Laurens, NY, and Matt Meyer, Gretchen Meyer, Derrick Anderson, Rebekah Oliver, Kaylyn Oliver, and Johnathan Oliver [all] of Morris, NY and great-grandmother to three, Dylan Pettit, Connor Pettit, and Piper Allen. Audrey leaves behind five brothers and four sisters including Janet Geriak (Tim) who was not only a sister but a best friend along with many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 1 p.m. at 1100 Josephine St. New Smyrna Beach, FL. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Oneonta, NY. In lieu of flowers the family asks for anyone wishing to express their condolences to donate to a local hospice center.
But we had some very good times and laughed and cried together.
I miss those fun times, and i will miss our little updates and messages back and forth.
The photo of you that is shown here is so beautiful, most fitting for a beautiful person.
