Obituary
Barbara Fay Bowyer, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Debary, Florida on January 9, 2021. She was born on January 16, 1935 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to James and Margaret Baxter. She married her high school sweetheart, Dean Nickles Bowyer, on May 20, 1955, who preceded her in death on January 24, 2015.
Barbara was a kind and generous woman who believed in helping others. She was a great wife, mother, homemaker and artist. She enjoyed teaching art, interior decorating and collecting antiques.
She is preceded in death by her grandchildren, Jason Bowyer and Jamie Perry.
Barbara is survived by her half-brother and wife, William and Sylvia McCollum; her half-sister and husband, Victoria and Larry Bush; her half-sister, Celia Elwell; her son and his wife, Dennis and Rhonda Bowyer; her daughter, Teri Bowyer; and her daughter and her husband, Pamela and Mike Sugg; her grandchildren, Robert Rosser, David Bowyer, Jack Kershaw, Noelle St. Andrew and Audrey Sugg; and her great grandchild, Chase Kershaw. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
She would be honored to have donations made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, ASPCA, or the Orlando Rescue Mission. Due to the current pandemic, no services will be held at this time for Barbara but will held at a later date.
