Betsey Ellis Howle, a resident of Winter Park, passed away on August 13, 2012. Born in New York City on August 25, 1941, she attended Rollins College. After graduation she became an elementary school teacher for Orange County Public Schools and a homemaker. She was a member of the Rosalind Club, and a former member of the Country Club of Orlando and the Highlands Country Club in North Carolina. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Buff) Weeks Scott (John); step-mother Sun Ae Ellis; step-daughters Christy Weeks, Wendy Weeks and Sandy Weeks; step-granddaughter, Skylar Restino; brother, Bobby Ellis, and grandsons Robert Connor Scott and John Ryan Scott. Her memorial service will be held on August 17, 2012 at the Marcy Chapel at the First United Methodist Church of Winter Park, 125 North Interlachen Avenue in Winter Park, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Canine Companions for Independence, 8150 Clarcona Ocoee Road, Orlando, Florida 32818.
