Betty Lee Bryant Granger, 67, Daytona Beach FL died Saturday May 5, 2012. Betty was born in Miami Florida and moved to Daytona Beach FL from Durham, NC in 1949. She was a 1963 graduate of Mainland High School. Betty is the former wife of Thomas Granger, Sr. She was active in BPOElks Lodge 1557 in the 1960’s and 70’s. She worked in the hospitality industry until she retired in 2000.
Betty enjoyed auto racing, NASCAR and NHRA. She had an unmatched love for Dale Earnhardt and John Force. She loved fresh water fishing As well as off the piers and driving in the mountains during the color change. Betty was preceded in death by her parents William Lynwood and Lilly Enemozer Bryant and former husband Tom.
She leaves her children Tom and Polly Granger, Danny and Denise Granger, Tracy and Zoe Gotera, sister Linda Wynn, grandchildren who brought out her caring, loving giving side, Ross, Rhett, Reece, Gavin, and Zoey and a niece Staci Wynn, along with numerous nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of Volusia Flagler 3800 Woodbriar Trail Port Orange FL 32119, local Humane Society of American Cancer Society.
Life Celebration will be 6:00 PM Tuesday at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach FL.
