Obituary
Beverly M. DiMascio, 82, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on May 10, 2021 at Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres, Florida, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Beverly was born September 24th, 1938 in Akron to Perry and Lennis Woodey. She was a graduate of Garfield High School, Class of 1956, and then went on to receive her degree as a Registered Nurse from Akron General School of Nursing. Bev cared for countless people throughout her 40-year career as an RN while also raising her two children, Lisa and Michael.
In her spare time Bev loved to hike, golf, play bridge, travel, read, and volunteer. She and her husband Joe participated every year in the Cuyahoga Valley Metro Parks hiking sprees. Bev actually struck a hole-in-one on her birthday at Westminster Golf Course in 2018!
Bev is survived by her beloved husband Joseph W. DiMascio (Joe), and daughter, Lisa (Mark) Sams of Lehigh Acres, Florida, and son, Michael (Brandee) DiMascio of Indianapolis, Indiana. Beloved granddaughters Angela (Brian) McCaslin of Fort Myers, Florida and Samara Easterday of Indianapolis, Indiana. Beloved great-granddaughters Alexis and Alivia of Fort Myers, Florida. Many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, an aunt, and dear friends.
The family will hold a private memorial service in Fort Myers, Florida, on Thursday, May 13th, 2021. A celebration of life will be held on a later date in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
I love you and you are in my heart for the rest of my life.
