Obituary

Bonnie Lou Krouskroup passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022.  Bonnie was born on July 16, 1947, in St. Albans, Vermont to Harold and Helen Rich. Bonnie met her husband Melvin (“Jack”) in 1965 at the University of Vermont, where she worked in the forestry department. They moved to south Florida in 1966 and married in 1968.  In 1984, the family moved to Ormond Beach. Bonnie and Melvin were married for 54 years.

Bonnie loved handmade crafts and décor, cooking, baking, entertaining, and sharing her recipes with friends and family in Florida and North Carolina.  She loved traveling and drove and explored much of the country on her own. She also enjoyed European travel and was an avid photographer.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Melvin of Ormond Beach; three daughters Michelle, Kimberly, and Heather of North Carolina; and two sisters.

A celebration of life her will take place in NC on the top of a mountain where she and the family dog (also deceased) spent many hours.

Per Bonnie's request, on Saturday 10-22-22 her ashes along with our beloved golden retriever were spread on top of the mountain above what was our property in NC. The day was perfect, clear bright and warm. Kimberly brought a beautiful bouquet of her favorite flowers. It was sad saying goodbye again. We miss you every day!
