Obituary

Metheney, Brad, 61 of Ocklawaha, Florida passed away on September 22, 2021, at the Ted & Diane Brandley House. Brad was born on September 22, 1960.

Brad was much loved by his co-workers and customers at Subway. His saying was “I want to make a sandwich, I would eat.” Brad was very particular with making sandwiches, he even had customers that wouldn’t come in if he wasn’t working. Brad met Miss Shirley of Miss Shirley Soul Food Restaurant in Toccoa, GA, their meeting turned Brad’s life around. She and her ministry saved him by demonstrating and showing him Gods Love. Brad had a love of bicycling and enjoyed riding. He also walked part of the Appalachian Trail in 1992. Brad was a hippie, a wanderer, a giver of love and he was generous with what little money he had.

Brad is survived by his mother, Hulda Sue Crumb (Dave) of Ocklawaha, FL, father, Richard Andrew Metheney (Judy) of Old Town, FL; daughter, Kourtney Denise Brown of Fremont, Ohio; half sibling, Paula Stephanie Griffis of Deland, FL; step sibling, Joey Bass (Sandra), of Flemington, FL. Brad had some very special friends, Heidi Daniels, of South Miami, FL, one of many. He also had a special bond with his sister, Paula Griffis now of Deland, FL. Brad will be missed by his many loving friends & family.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, 954 East Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala, FL 34470. www.baldwincremation.com
