It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Wayne White, of Daytona, Florida, on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at the age of 62.
He was born on August 15, 1960, in Anderson, SC, to Shirley Elrod White and the late Bobby Ray White.
He is survived and missed by his loving spouse, Lisa Murphy; his mother, Shirley White; his four children: Amber Woodman (Richard), Justin (Stephanie), Cory (Kayla) and Taylor (Richard); and six grandchildren: Cheyenne, Skylar, Colton, Jonathon, Kiersten, and Ryder.
He will also be dearly missed by his brother, Ray (Brenda); sisters: Cindy and Eileen (Daniel); his nieces and nephews: Loren Bellhorn, Wesley Ferrell, Andrew Ferrell, and Cyndi Burlette; as well as numerous relatives and friends. In addition to his father, Wayne was preceded in death by his nephew, Bobby Ray White.
Wayne attended NorthFant Elementary School in Anderson, SC. His family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL, where he attended Rickards Middle School and Ft. Lauderdale High School. In 1976, he was awarded 6th place in State Schools of Florida Relay Races.
For many years, he lived in or around Port Orange, Florida. Well-known and loved in the community, he was a member of Halifax River Moose Lodge 2516 and previously owned Competitive Pool Service. He enjoyed restoring old cars, playing in dart tournaments and calling Bingo at the Moose Lodge.
