Obituary
Charles Abel Caudill, 69, of Ft Myers, FL died peacefully in the presence of loved ones Friday, August 6, 2021at Hope Hospice, Cape Coral, FL. Born in Lexington, KY Charles grew up in Frankfort, KY and was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Charles Milton Caudill and Merle Arnold Caudill. His Survivors include his sister, Charlotte Caudill Parrish, Freeport, FL , brothers, Dr. William (Joanne) Caudill of Somerset, KY and John (Maria) Caudill of Watkinsville, GA and nieces / nephews, Beckie (John) Parrish Lenz, Freeport,FL; Jason Parrish, Fort Walton Beach, FL; Kelly Caudill (Garry) Adams, Louisville, KY; Jenna Caudill (Josh) Milligan, Inlet Beach, FL; Daniel (Leah) Caudill, Somerset, KY; Gillian Chance Caudill, Watkinsville, GA; former wife Ruth Billings, Lexington, KY and her family: Pauline Davis Billings Tuttle, Lexington, KY; Casey Billings and Gayle Buchanon, Lexington,KY; Dallas Pelfrey, Stanton, KY and niece Mary Elizabeth Pelfrey (Ethan Huffaker), Edmonds, WA.
Charles was a graduate of the University of KY and the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, attaining his Juris Doctor degree. As an attorney, he was licensed in KY, FL, IN and TN. and was admitted in multiple Federal districts and Court of Appeals jurisdictions. He served as the president of the W. Paul and Lucille Caudill Little Foundation. Charles enjoyed flying, scuba diving, and horse racing as well as fine art and fine food. His interests in the arts included acquiring his own collection of visual arts, his own photography and attending many concerts, exhibits and performances.
