Obituary

Charles B Clements age 98 passed peacefully Friday March, 20, 2020 at  Harbor Chase

Assisted Living in the Villages Florida.

 

He was born on May 6, 1921 in Terre Haute In. He was proceeded in death by his parents Burly and Amy Clements, sisters Gwendolyn Gilbert,  Ester Conatser, brother Jim Clements, daughter Cheryl

Church, Grandson Dylan Church and long time companion Joanne Hogg.

 

Survivors are his sons Mike (Cheryl) Clements Terre Haute,  Ron (Vickie) Clements Clinton In, daughter Jan (Joe) Bryant  of Summerfield Fl. Also 5 Grandchildren, Matt and Rachel Clements,

Mason and Jameson Church and Cory Clements and 5 Great grandchildren.

 

He retired after 45 years from IMC Terre Haute. He was a WWII Veteran and served as a Master Sergeant in the China Burma India Theatre. He was a member of the VFW Post 972, American Legion  Post 104, Past Commander of the Vigo County Veterans Council. He organized the local Basha Of the CBI Veterans Organization and past  State Commander. He was past President of the eastern Illinois and western Indiana  Muscular Dystrophy Association.

 

There will be no visitation. Cremation Services will be provided by Baldwin Funeral Home of the Villages, Fl.

At a later date burial will be at Grandview Cemetery Terre Haute, In with graveside services provided by VFW Post 972. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.

 

The family wishes to give Special Thanks to Harbor Chase Assisted Living, Comfort Keepers, and Cornerstone Hospice for the loving care and  companionship they provided.
