Charles was born in Candor, NY. He proudly served our nation in the U.S. Army and Air Force with over 20 years of combined service. He bravely fought in three wars and earned the Bronze Star in the Vietnam War. After retiring from the military, he worked as letter carrier for 13 years in Pinecastle. He was a member of the American Legion Post 286, Veterans of Foreign Affairs and Elks Lodge in Owego, NY. In his spare time, Chuck enjoyed bowling, playing darts and putting together puzzles. He was also an avid coin collector.
He leaves to cherish his memory Barbara, his wife of 58 years and constant travel companion. He also leaves behind his two daughters Susan Noble of Daytona Beach and Sally Ramsey of Ormond Beach who will miss Friday night BINGO trips with their dad. His three grandchildren, Amy, Jonathan and Benjamin will always treasure the memory that it was their grandfather who made the best spaghetti and meatballs they will ever eat.
