Obituary

Charles “Chuck” Neighbor, Jr. 81, died at the Brandley Hospice House in Summerfield, Florida on Friday, August 10, 2018 after a long battle with Congestive Heart Failure and Chronic Kidney Disease with his wife of 18 years at his side.

Chuck was born January 30, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Charles David Neighbor, Sr. and Loretta Yanke. He attended Chicago Vocational High School and in September of 1954 enlisted in the U.S. Marines. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton in California. Later in life, Chuck owned 2 video stores. One store was located in Cedar Lake, Indiana and the other in Rose Lawn, Indiana. On April 22, 2000 he married Jackie Bishop and in 2003 retired from the businesses to move to The Villages, Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Neighbor, daughters Donna K. Davis (Roger) of N. Little Rock, AK; Diana Cebulski (Edward) of Channahon, IL, Bridgette Wunsh (Anthony) of Crown Point, IN and a son Charles Neighbor (Libby) of Baker, LA. He is also survived by his step daughters Janet Herr (Richard) and Ginger Spitler (Kevin) both of Rose Lawn, Indiana and a half-sister, Diane Baker-Bell of Riverside, CA. He has 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. His grandson, Nicholas Spitler, preceded him in death.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at The Chatham Recreation Center. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Brandley Hospice House, 17395 SE 109th Terrace Rd, Summerfield, FL 34491.
