Skip was born June 6, 1939 in Camden, New Jersey to Charles and Helen Rapp. He grew up in New Jersey before relocating to Florida in 1954. He attended North Miami High School where upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served from 1962 to 1966 and was stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. After serving in the Air Force, he pursued a career in the aviation industry, where he worked for over 40 years. During retirement, he enjoyed golf, flying radio-controlled airplanes, playing pickleball, and astrophotography. He also loved evenings in the yard throwing the ball with Abby, his four legged little girl.
His family and friends will miss his warm, gentle, positive spirit and sense of humor. He made friends with everyone he met, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enriched the lives of all who knew him.
