Obituary

Charles F. Storm, 84, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021.  He was the loving husband to Audrey M. Storm (nee Delozier) for 63 years and the son of the late Charles & Gertrude Storm (nee Gallagher).

Born in Cresson, PA, Chuck moved to Chester County, PA, to raise his family.  He worked in management at AT&T for 33 years before retiring at the age of 52 when he moved to Barto, PA, to renovate his 150-year-old farmhouse.  He and Audrey split their time between their residences in Barto, PA, and Bonita Springs, FL.  Chuck took great pride and joy in his farm and his antique cars.  Whether in Pennsylvania or Florida, he had many projects and many friends.

Always happy to help anyone and everyone, tell a good story, travel with the Antique Car Clubs, go fishing or hunting, play games, or just relax, Chuck could always be found smiling and laughing.

His greatest love was his family.  He cherished his wife, Audrey, his three daughters, Barbara Storm-Bauer (Robert), Donna Schneider (Chuck), and Eileen Eidenberg (Peter IV), his grandchildren, Melanie Bauer (Michael Rapoport), Nicole Bauer, Daniel and Sarah Schneider, Peter V and Jordan Eidenberg, and his great granddaughter Maeve Rapoport.

Chuck, Charlie, Dad, Pappy, Pap Chuck, Uncle Chuck – you will be greatly missed by your friends and family.  He leaves behind his treasured surviving 8 sisters and brothers: Dorothy, Norman, Lois, Janet, Thomas, Rita, Sheila, and Cynthia, nearly 50 nieces and nephews, 60+ great nieces and nephews, and 11+ great-great nieces and nephews, and all of their spouses.

He is preceded in death by his siblings LaRue Grimes (1931 – 2011), Robert Storm (1933 – 1934), Donald Storm (1935 – 2000), and Francis Storm (1951 – 2008).

A Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021, at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 610 Pine Street in Bally, PA.  Visitation at the church will begin at 9:30am followed by a Mass at 11am and interment.  As many of you know, Chuck really enjoyed antique cars.  If you have an antique car – weather permitting – please consider bringing it.  Chuck would enjoy that.

In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation in his name to Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

My Brother and I were introduced to Chuck at a very early age ( he was one of our godfathers other was Francis) I always remember the wonderful times when my father would take us to visit Chuck and Audrey in Marchwood .When was grownI started working in Bally I quickly realized that I could stop by and have the most wonderful times and conversations , and Thank you for helping me understand my father better . My most cherished memory was stoping by one afternoon and finding Chuck working on the one of the cars and I ended up helping install Rocky Mountain brakes as he and Audrey were getting ready for a road trip .I could not believe how kind and fun he was as I was scared to death that I would make a mistake . He always seemed to laugh it off and we had do what was needed to get it working correctly . I am very proud that I did get to introduce my sons to one of the greatest people I have ever known .

For the 9 years we wintered near Chuck & Audrey in Florida, we enjoyed many good times together. We learned that Chuck liked shirts with at least one pocket on the front. He liked the chicken pot pies from Perkins Restaurant, eating at Mel's Diner and attending the greyhound dog races. Chuck was proud to be a parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Bally. He loved to talk about his church's history.
    Thanks for the memories, brother.

Chuck was not only my uncle, but my godfather as well. Our family is very large, filled with a lot of good people. So it’s easy to get lost at family get togethers. Yet Uncle Chuck stood out as a happy, generous and welcoming person. While I am sad at his passing, I will always envision him with rosy red cheeks and a hearty smile.

Sharyn and I are saddened to hear of the passing of a dear friend and neighbor. When we moved to Marchwood in Lionville PA in 1973, Chuck was one of the first neighbors we met. How fortunate we were. Over the ensuing years Chuck became a mentor to me. Under Chuck’s tutelage I learned about electrical repairs , plumbing, carpentry, and complicated car repairs. Chuck had tremendous patience and was always willing to take the time to assist his neighbors. We thoroughly enjoyed many hours hunting and fishing together. He was a great conversationalist and seemed to know everyone. Wonderful friends are hard to come by so we feel blessed to have met such a wonderful and kind person. Our condolences to the entire Storm family, we will keep Chuck and all the family in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so sad to learn about the passing of Mr. Storm. I grew up in Marchwood on Crump Rd and I have a lot of great memories of being at the Storms' house playing with Eileen in the pool and just hanging out. Mr. Storm was such a wonderful, fun man. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

We have had the pleasure of being Chucks and Audrey 's neighbors for the past 25 years, and you can notfind a better couple. Chuck and I would see each other when we were mowing and stop and chat that would last for an hour, but we solved the worlds problems. I will miss those talks. RIP Chuck
