Obituary
Charles W. (Charlie) Small of Sanford, Florida passed away on Sunday August 7th, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Toni Leggitt Small and the love of her life! They were married for 32 Years. He was a proud member of the Upsala Presbyterian Church of Sanford and loved going to services on Sunday and reading his bible regularly.
Charlie was born in Waltham, Massachusetts on November 29, 1951. At the age of 10 years old his parents George & Marion Small moved the family to Winter Springs, Florida where he grew up with his 2 sisters; Wanda Smith and Terri Small, and 4 brothers; George Jr., Andrew, David & Anthony. After he graduated from Lyman High School in 1969 he decided to join the Army. He was stationed in Germany for several years until he was honorably discharged in 1974. When he came back to the States he began working in the shipping & receiving industry as a forklift specialist. He has one surviving son from a previous marriage, Charles Damon Small.
Charlie’s favorite thing to do was to be on the Wekiva River fishing, whenever he got the chance. He also had several collections but his favorite was all things Camo!
Charlie, we will miss you! “See ya later, Bro…”
A celebration of Charles’s life will be held on Saturday August 13, 2016 1:30pm at Upsala Presbyterian, 101 Upsala Road Sanford, Florida 32771.
