Obituary

Cindy Lee Hargis (Collins)

Born in Jacksonville,FL on May 15th, 1976. As a young adult she moved to North Carolina and resided all over. Passed away October 27th 2023 at Port Orange Hospice from stage 4 lung cancer. Daughter of Joseph Collins(deceased) & Rita Collins. 2 Brothers David Collins (deceased) and Steven Collins. A single mother of 2 beloved daughters Hannah Hargis (Kayla O’Hara) Carvanna Hargis (David Cortez) and a loved son Stephen Holt ( Nic Jordan). 2 beautiful grandchildren she loves dearly Aki and Daliha. She had many loved nieces and nephews as well as close friends and family that she also loved dearly.

She is a beautiful, generous, one of of kind soul that touched everyone she met. She was loud and proud and that’s what we’re going to miss of her the most. She went to Sandlewood High-school then to graduate from Leon’s beauty school in North Carolina, and received her associates degree from University of Phoenix. She spent her life doing what she loved by having her own hair business and blowing people out of the water with how talented she was. She had a career change to Florida Health Care where she also excelled. She is one of a kind and was taken too soon but those she touched will live on with her by their side forever. She was an intelligent, social butterfly and had the personality too match and the energy she brought to a room untouchable. She played flute in band and sang her heart out. She enjoyed being around those she loved playing cards, trivia, doing karaoke and simply enjoying everyone’s company. There will forever be a hole in every heart she ever touched.

Rest in Paradise beautiful

I’m still in disbelief. It’s been one week, and I’m missing you terribly. Over the years we have had the same conversations about being my person. I’m lost without you. The phone calls to just check in, and the HEY tag your it. Cindy you are a beautiful free angel now, and somehow I will have IT from here. 40 something years together here on earth, and an eternity from now on. Fly free sis! Your smile, and laughter will live on forever in our memories and hearts
