Obituary
On Saturday, February 20th, 2021, Connie Lou Taylor Adamson went to be with the Lord. She was 73 years young. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Russell Edwin Taylor and Dorothea Ashworth Taylor, as well as her sister, Vicki Hagar. Connie was a loving, devoted wife to Chester Lee, mother of two sons, Todd (Tami) and Jason. Memaw was the grandmother to four amazingly talented grandchildren, to whom she would say took after her! Tucker and Teà (children of Todd and Tami), and Justin and Jackson (children of Jason and Maria).
Connie was born in Franklin, KY, on May 1st, 1947, where she met the love of her life, Chester. They were married on July 29th, 1967. Married for a short 53 years. They moved from Franklin, KY, to Cape Coral, FL, in 1983.
Connie had various jobs in her lifetime. She started out as a model in a department store, which later lead to wig modeling. She became a beautician for most of the community in Franklin, KY, before moving to FL. In Florida, she helped Chester run their recycling business (Allied Recycling), and portalet business (Allied Portalets). After their children took over the running of their businesses, Connie took the job as a professional shopper, world traveler, and Queen Bee of Rumrunners, drinking appletinis in Cape Coral! But her most cherished job finally came when she became a grandmother!
Connie loved and lived life to its fullest. She loved to travel, shop, spend time with her group of friends that she’s had since school and added many more friends as they have been placed into her life, and doting upon her family. A Celebration of Life will be held at Rumrunners, on Sunday, March 14th, starting at 4 pm.. A second Celebration of Life will be held in Kentucky, either in late Summer or early Fall. If you are unable to attend the Celebration of Life in Florida, do not worry, as another celebration will be held.
In lieu of flowers, Chester has requested that donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in Connie’s name.
