Obituary
Daniel J Houde of Fort Myers, Florida passed away suddenly on January 1, 2024.
Daniel was born on March 14, 1964, in Springfield MA to Donald and Marguerite (LaBrie) Houde of North Grafton MA. He was pre-deceased by his father Donald J Houde.
Daniel graduated from Grafton Memorial High School where he was a dedicated member of the football team, receiving various accolades throughout. He also participated in field and track in off seasons. Daniel was an athlete throughout his life. Always striving for better and the best in everything and everyone. Throughout his career Daniel worked as a host for WAAF Radio station while running various food trucks throughout Worcester in the 90s. As the owner and operator of Fun Time Food Festivals he was able to manage and create an iconic idea in the Food Truck Industry. He held various jobs like High Purity Water and Marriot Distribution Centers before branching into his own businesses and ideas. In Florida Dan worked for Sanibel Yacht Clubs as a yacht tender as well as his most recent trade at the IATSE union as a trade show coordinator. Originally moving to Southwest Florida to help with hurricane relief as a finish carpenter. Daniel truly loved the ocean air and palm trees, and he found his peace in Florida where he spent the last 20 years of scuba diving and traveling the Caribbean with his family.
Daniel leaves behind a son Dustin J Houde and a daughter Kayleigh Houde. He also leaves behind his beloved canine companions Boston and Axel. His friends and family will dearly miss Dan and Dad as he was taken far too soon.
A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced. Funeral arrangements are private.
