She was very kind to me when I came over there. I still remember and make the meat rollups that she made for us. Even when I saw her while working in the mall during college, she still remembered me and gave me the same, sweet smile. She will be greatly missed.

I didn't have the most outgoing parents when it came to my school friends. So every time I got to visit a friend's house, I held those sweet memories dear. Dawn treated all of Alicia's friends like her own and I never forgot the genuine love I felt from her. A light in my childhood that I'll hold close to my heart forever. Rest easy, Ms. Caruso. My biggest hugs to Alicia and the Caruso family. Thank you for the love you've shown me.

I did not know Dawn well, that is to say I met her briefly really, but my neice and Dawn’s daughter Alicia are best friends. To know Alicia is to know a girl who had a wonderful, loving mother. My neice relays stories of all the kindnesses of Dawn she experienced as a young girl and young adult…there are many. It’s difficult to lose someone so young, yet from what I hear it was a life well-lived more than some who live twice as long. A life lived with purpose, joy and love - not only for her family but for all who were lucky enough to know her. My sincere condolences to Alicia-bear and her family and prayers for comfort and peace from their loss of an amazing women.

Mrs. C, opened her home to me many times when I spent the night with Alicia. My favorite memories are at the dinner table with the family eating the delicious food she made. Or when she helped me get ready for our prom. She was the sweetest and most genuine person. She was an amazing cheerleader in my life and it had a lasting impact. You'll be dearly missed mama C.
Sending all my love to the family.
