Obituary

Donald A. Spink, 91 passed peacefully on May 17, 2018 in Lady Lake, Florida.  After serving in WWII.  He began his career with NY State barge canal, which moved him from Minetto to Lockport.   Retiring at Lyons in March 1988.  Surviving are 6 children Barbara (Richard) Hill, Lady Lake, FL,  Wayne (Nora) Spink Limestone, ME Donna Spink Baker, York, SC, James (Robin) Spink, Atco, NJ, Ronald (Ellen) Spink, Geneseo and Hugh (Kathy) Spink, of Lyons.  Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter; sister, Frances (Richard) Filmer and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his wife Lydia, son, Bruce and granddaughter April. Donald was active with the Boy Scouts, Somerset Little League, life member of American Legion, past president of the Masons, and a member of The Eagles and Methodist Church.  A memorial service will be July 7, 2018 at 1 pm at Fairview Cemetery in Williamstown, NY.   Online condolences may be left at www.baldwincremation.com.

    To my only Uncle on my mother's side, Uncle Donald. Although I never got to visit with you (or my cousins) as much as I wish I had, I have fond memories of the fun we had when our families got together. Thank you for your service to our country. You will be missed.
