Though, it has been many decades since I was a pupil of his, I managed to keep in touch over the years (as many of my peers did).
I can close my eyes and picture him strumming along with some John Denver song in class, or in later years discussing our shared enjoyment of fishing.
My deepest sympathy for his immediate family.
I will “wet a line this spring and try to coax a trout to bite” in memory of him, and maybe break out my old guitar. Dr. Nease, I think would want me to think of and remember him that way.
