E. Darlene (Loftis) Loomis
Following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s, passed peacefully with her beloved daughters and sister at her bedside on Tuesday December 5, 2017 with Hospice care in Daytona Beach Fl. Eva Darlene (Loftis) Loomis, Born May 23, 1946 to B. Ruth Harmon (Loftis) Kuhn and Samuel Ed Lofis in Joplin Missouri, her family later relocated to Hoisington, Ks where she attended & graduated from Hoisington High School, class of 1964. Following high school Darlene enjoyed a few years filled with travel and many life experiences, her travels took her to each coast of the U.S and multiple locations in-between before, finally settling down with her three children near her sister Charlotte in Goodland Kansas in the summer of 1977. During her 25 plus years in Goodland Darlene met & married R. Douglass “Doug” Loomis on Dec 17, 1983. Darlene attended Goodland Technical School and proudly graduated with honors, with her Associate’s degree in Accounting from Colby Community College.
Darlene leaves behind two aunts, her beloved sister, two half-brothers, three children and their spouses, five adored grandchildren, two great-grand children, several loved nieces & nephews, cousins, and a number of long-time dear friends. Children: Karla Wilson & husband Timothy of Winona Ks. ; David Warfield of Seattle Washington; and Catherine Noske & husband Bryan of Daytona Beach Fl. Grand Children Aric Grob and Wife Kennidi of Denver Co., Jayleen & Lindsey Miller of Castle Rock Co., Gracie Noske of Daytona Beach, and Nathan Warfield of Seattle Wa. Sister & Best Friend Charlotte & spouse Larry Linsner of Walker Ks. (Formerly of Goodland Ks), Half-brothers Robert Dale Kuhn and wife Michelle of Branson Mo., and Thomas Anthony Kuhn and wife Tammy of Arkansas City, Ks.
Darlene was preceded in death by her mother B. Ruth Harmon (Loftis) Kuhn, her father Samuel Ed Loftis, her step-father Robert Kuhn, her younger brother Ricky Alan Loftis, and maternal grandparents Frank & Byrda (Long) Harmon.
A Celebration of Life service will be hosted in Spring 2018 in Goodland Kansas, all friends and family are welcome to attend. Following this service her family will travel to the Rocky Mountains to spread her ashes as requested. The family is putting together a memoir of photos and memories to share during the spring service and is requesting contributions of memories and photos. These contributions, as well as cards and/or messages of sympathy be sent to her daughters Karla & Catherine
