Dear Hodge Family, We are so sad that Ed has left this life on Earth, but knowing he is now with the Lord is so good to know! Edward was a wonderful friend to us for many years. He was best man at our wedding and he and Erma have always been considered our best friends. Wish we could join you to honor him but Bill isn't able to travel and I am his caregiver so I cannot come either. We will be there in spirit and are holding all of you in prayer during this hard time. Much love, Bill, Marilyn, Anne and Michael

I think Mark Whitney mentioned Ed’s always greeting folks at the door and now I’m thinking of Ed enjoying Jesus’ arms around him as he says “well done, good and faithful servant.” Even when it was hard for him to get around, Ed was at most things and was always encouraging everyone he could. He’s left a hole in our hearts, but I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t change places with any of us now.
Way to go, Ed. You made it home.
