My second Dad, whom I always compared to being Ward Cleaver. I'll never forget your silly jokes, your amazing dedication to your family, and best of all, the quizzes Martyne and I would get when we started driving. I'll always know which way the car would veer if I hit a puddle on the right the next time I hit the brakes. I will cherish the videos I have of your voice at EVERY horse show Martyne like ever went to, because you were there. I was always a little envious of that. You cheered for us both as if you had money on it. I'll never forget that. Nor you.

I didnt know your dad that well but I always enjoyed chatting with him and seeing him at the barrel races cheering Martyne on. So awesome to see such a dedicated father even when his child is grown. My deepest sympathy to you Martyne and your entire family.

Marty, I am sure you are healthy and free reconnecting to those that left this earth and and thrilled to watch many you loved here on earth. I know you ride Beamer with Martyne and she feels you grab the reigns. You go with Marcy and watch her buy weird health food and you sit with Carol as she plans her days ahead without you. Keep visiting and giving them nudges. I remember playing a game when you came up with Norwhale as an "N" word. We all said that's not a word reached for dictionary. You were correct! We will miss you.

It is always sad when someone you have known and worked with passes, but it is those memories that keep them with us forever. On a lighter note: do you all remember when Marty thought that the benevolent could make some money selling self extinguishing ash trays? He took a lot of ribbing got that, which he handled with humor. Rest in peace!

Marty was a very good friend on and off duty. Marty spent many hours working on two the 2 firefighter Olympics Hialeah hosted with Tom Holstein and me. He designed and had made the metals Hialeah gave out to the winning athletics. Also won many metals himself. Very good member of the gold metal winning softball team. His single in the bottom of the seventh inning knocked in the winning run that beat the mighty Dade county softball team. Had lunch Marty after I moved to the Ocala area. Occasionally called him, he became very religious and read the bible daily.
