Obituary

Eileen M. Lynch, 74, of New Smyrna Beach died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 in Melbourne, FL. Eileen was born December 17, 1935 in Howard Beach, NY.  She was a resident of Floral Park, NY for thirty years and New Smyrna Beach for the past seventeen years. Eileen enjoyed cooking and serving her family delicious meals.  She treasured having the children and grandchildren come home to a house filled with mouth watering scents.  Her time in the kitchen will never be forgotten as her recipes have been passed down to the next generation. Eileen loved Yoga and there was a special joy in exercising with her dear friends. Her skills at raising bougainvilleas in pots were a challenge she took on after being told, "it could not be done". Eileen was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.  She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Joseph J. Lynch; devoted children, Deborah A. Lynch, Joseph J. Lynch, Diane M. Berland, & Maureen M. Lynch; five cherished grandchildren, Shawn Berland, Melissa Berland, Julia Berland, Kaelyn Lynch, Patrick Lynch, one great grandchild, Carson Berland and four endearing sisters, Ann Lee, Patricia Mac Dowell, Kathleen Keeler and Evelyn Trimmer.     Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1737 N. Clyde Morris Blvd. Suite 140, Daytona Beach, FL 32117 11:30am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church 4000 South Atlantic Avenue New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169 on September 4, 2010 (map/driving directions)

Dear Dad, Joe, Deb, Diane, and Maureen,
Mom was truly a wonderful person. She knew how to make us all laugh, which is a gift not everyone has. I am going to miss her very much.
Thanks mom for letting me be a part of your family.
    Love always,
    Camille
