Obituary
Elaine Ryan Lander, 74 of Liberty Park passed away peacefully at home with her family on January 29, 2018. She was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Roswell Oliver and Mary Catherine Woods and her son David Ross Ryan. She is survived by her husband of almost 40 years, Warren Lander, their daughter Karen Ryan, their grandsons John and Andrew Kaligandis, her brother Robert Woods and her sister Catherine Hopp. Elaine was a warm,kind and giving person. She contributed so much to her family, her friends and her community. From bringing therapy pets to visit residents in the nursing home to volunteering with Special Olympics to working with Habitat for Humanity. She was deeply committed to her family, with an especially close bond with her grandsons. She worked for many years in customer service at Verizon and then went on to become a Master Gardener. She enjoyed playing cards and socializing with her friends in the VIllages.
