Obituary
Elizabeth Gleason Hansen (Betsy), long time Clinton, NY resident, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2019 in Altamonte Springs, Fl. She was 91. She was born on August 25, 1927, in Utica, NY, the daughter of Arthur and Helen Gleason of Clinton. She graduated from the Emma Willard School in Troy, NY. In her younger years as a resident of Clinton, she was active in the Junior League of Greater Utica and volunteered at the Kirkland Art Center. She was a member of the Sadaquada Golf Club. In her later years, residing in Florida, she was an active hospital volunteer. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbert Hansen (Herb) and son in law, Ken Reed. She is survived by her sister Margaret Johnston, Vero Beach, Fl., and her children, Eric Hansen, Maitland, FL, wife Jan and Jan’s daughter Jamie and granddaughter Josie; Judith Winters, Lakeville, CT, husband Robbie and grandsons Erik and Christopher Winters; Ginger Reed, Irving, TX., and grandchildren Alexandra and Nicholas Reed; Scott Hansen, Richmond, VA, wife Debby and grandsons Bryan and Andrew Hansen; Stephen Hansen, Orlando, FL, wife Holly, grandchildren Stephen Hansen Jr., Amanda Hansen Simokat. She is also survived by great grandchildren Annika and Leanna Winters. Interment and a graveside service will be held at the Hamilton College Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved late husband, Herb.
