Elsa N. Simpson, 91 of New Smyrna Beach died peacefully in her sleep Monday, March 31, 2009 with her son by her side. Mrs. Simpson was born January 19, 1918 in Brooklyn, NY to Leopold and Elsie Hansen. She has been a resident of this area since 1991 moving here from Port Washington, NY. She was a former member of the Daughters of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Simpson enjoyed the ocean and most of all babies and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Sage and Ronald Simpson; brother, Leo Hansen. Elsa is survived by her two devoted sons, Richard Sage of Fairfield, IA and Donald (Linda) Sage of Armonk, NY and their children, Scott Sage and Daniel (Lisa) Sage and their daughter, Jordan. Also surviving, sister in law, Loretta Hansen, nephew, L. Bruce Hansen and niece, Linda Jennings.
