Emil Gerola, age 71, passed away at his home in Altamonte Springs, FL on Friday, January 29, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Sharon (Flitman) Gerola, and his three sons, Richard, Daniel, and Peter; brother-in-law, Mark Flitman, daughter-in-law, Christina, and four grandchildren:  Nicholas, Anthony, Madeline, and Daniel, Jr.  Emil was the son of the late Frank and Rose (Galante) Gerola, and brother to Robert, John, and the late Eugene Gerola.

Emil was born in the Bronx, New York on June 10, 1944 and later raised his family on Long Island while building a successful company and sales career before settling in the Orlando, Florida area.  Emil called Apopka, FL home for the last ten years.  He continued his career, affectionately known as “Mr. G,” selling manufactured homes part-time throughout Florida, doing what he loved most – helping people while building strong and lasting relationships.

A Graveside Service will held Friday, February 5, 2016 at 12:30 P.M. at Highland Memorial Gardens, 3329 East Semoran Boulevard, Apopka, Florida 32703.
